THE ACHA OR AMERICAN COLLEGIATE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION IS AN EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE NATIONWIDE COLLEGIATE HOCKEY LEAGUE . IT CONSISTS OF FOUR DIVISIONS INCLUDING THREE MENS DIVIONS AND ONE WOMENS DIVISION. IT IS MADE UP OF 249 TEAMS AND IS CONSTANTLY GROWING. |

The SECHL was founded in 1996 when several teams in the Northeast wanted to develop an ultra-competitive league in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. Since then, the league has established itself as one of the premier leagues in the ACHA. The SECHL has five fully chartered members (Marist College, Central Connecticut State University, Siena College, New York University, and SUNY-Stony Brook) and three associate members (SUNY-Albany, Montclair State University, and Westfield State College). Parity is evident across the league as the previous six league championships have been won by five differrent teams. |
