Dear Prospective Student-Athlete:
Choosing the right college is undoubtedly a very important decision.  When making your choice you will take into account a school’s academics, size, location, cost, student body, and campus activities and programs.  I’d like to tell you a little about Siena College and one program in particular - Siena College Hockey.

Siena College, founded in 1937, is a coeducational, liberal arts college situated on a 155-acre campus in a suburban setting two miles north of Albany, New York.  Approximately 2,900 undergraduate students choose among 26 majors and enjoy small class sizes where professors know your name.  Additionally, both Money Magazine and Barron’s have recognized Siena as one of the nations “Best Buys” among private colleges.

The Siena College Hockey team has been in existence for over 60 years.  We are a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) which is the national governing body for all non-varsity ice hockey in the United States.  There are currently over 300 member teams in this association.  We have qualified to play in the National Championship Tournament in fourteen of the past sixteen years.  Recently we finished the season ranked #3 in the Northeast and in the top 12 in the Nation.

Siena Hockey competes in the Super East Collegiate Hockey League (SECHL) which is omprised of eight ACHA colleges and universities.  In only its ninth year of existence, the SECHL is recognized by many as one of the best, most competitive leagues in the nation.
In addition to our league games, we play other colleges and universities throughout the Country averaging 27 to 30 regular season games plus league playoffs and nationals.
